About Us

My name is Yoly Rueda, M.A., and I am a certified sworn translator in Guatemala. I graduated from New York University (NYU) with a double major in Art History and History, and earned my Master’s degree in International Relations from Universidad Francisco Marroquín (UFM). I am currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Education from the University of the People (UoPeople).

Growing up in a bilingual home, I developed an early passion for languages, communication, and bridging cultures. This passion took me to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where I served as a translator and interpreter during the MONUC peacekeeping mission with the United Nations and the Guatemalan Special Forces between 2008 and 2009. There, I witnessed firsthand how language can unite people across national and cultural boundaries.

Over the years, my commitment to communication expanded beyond languages to include a strong interest in law and legal processes. Through my professional experience and close connection to the legal field, I understand the importance of precision, trust, and clarity in legal and notarial services.

Today, I dedicate my work to facilitating cross-cultural and legal communication. I am the founder of Remote Study Academy, an online English academy, and I collaborate closely with a team of trusted legal and notarial professionals who share my commitment to excellence, ethics, and service.
